1,2-ジメチルヒドラジン投与マウスにおける大腸腺腫発症に与える食餌性ナガイモの効果 OAK

ナガイモのガンに対する機能性を探索する目的で, 1,2- ジメチルヒドラジン投与マウスにおける大腸腺腫(ACF) 発症に与える食餌性ナガイモ粉末の効果を検証した.ナガ イモ粉末をAIN-93G標準飼料のコーンスターチ部分に 100%または50%置き換えて投与したところ,大腸腺腫の 発症が有意に抑制されたまた,加熱および非加熱の生ナ ガイモ粉末ともに同様の効果が認められた. DNAマイク ロアレイを用いて大腸での遺伝子の異同を調べたところ, ナガイモ投与群ではアポ卜ーシスを誘導する遺伝子群の増加が認められた.To clarify the physiological effects of dietary Chinese yam (Nagaimo) on colon cancer in vivo, the effects of dietary Nagaimo on 1,2-dimethylhydrazine (DMH)-induced aberrant crypt foci (ACF) formation in the large intestine of mice were investigated. The present study was conducted to clarify the difference in the color of the cytoplasm in immature follicular oocytes from prepubertal and adult minke whales. The four lipid contents (triglyceride,total cholesterol phospholipids and non-esterified fatty acids) in vitrified immature oocytes from prepubertal and adult minke whales,and also in fresh and vitrified immature porcine oocytes,were measured. The lipid contents in vitrified-warmed minke whale oocytes were similarly high compared with those in vitrified-warmedp orcine oocytes. Reversed Phase HPLC Analysis of Component Fatty Acids in Lipophilic Components Extracted from Vinegar OAK

醸造酢 (4品種, 7品) から脂溶性成分を抽出し, その性状を検討すると共に構成脂肪酸をp -ニトロフェナシル誘導体として逆相HPLCで分析した. (1) 供試した醸造酢中のクロロホルム-メタノール抽出物は, 醸造酢100ml当たり1~8mgで, 純玄米酢, 純米酢, 純リンゴ酢および穀物酢の順で多く含まれていた. これらの脂溶性成分には, 原材料中の主要な脂質クラスはほとんど検出されなかった. (2) 構成脂肪酸として, 炭素数16~22までの9種類の存在が認められ, そのうち主なものはパルミチン酸 (16 : 0) (32%~43%), ステアリン酸 (18 : 0) (8%~18%), オレイン酸 (18 : 1) (16%~36%) およびリノール酸 (18 : 2) (5%~16%) であった. 純米酢および穀物酢の脂肪酸組成 (mol%) は互いに類似していたが, 純玄米酢はそれらとは異なっていた. (3) 醸造酢100ml当たりの総脂肪酸量は58~194nmolの範囲であった. 醸造酢中の個々の脂肪酸量を比較すると, 各醸造酢固有の脂肪酸パターンを示した. (4) 一般に, 原料に由来する脂肪酸 [パルミチン酸 (16 : 0), オレイン酸 (18 : 1) など] の含量は, 醸造酢の品種間で差が認められた. 一方, 発酵微生物に由来すると考えられるパルミトオレイン酸 (16 : 1) の含量には品種間で大きな違いは見られなかった. (5) 純リンゴ酢の総脂肪酸量は, 米国産の方がいずれの国産銘柄のものよりも多く, パルミチン酸 (16 : 0) とオレイン酸 (18 : 1) の含量も米国産の方が多かった.

Selection of Salt-tolerant Yeast Strains Accumulating Glucosylceramide OAK

Debaryomyces hansenii NBRC 0855 accumulated high amounts of glucosylceramide relative to 25 strains of salt-tolerant yeasts in the genera Candida,Debaryomyces. Kodamaea,and Pichia. The constituents of glucosylceramide were principally 2-hydroxystearic acid as a fatty acid,9-methyl-trans-4,trans-8-sphingadienine as a sphingoid base and glucose as a hexose. Strain NBRC 0855 was able to produce glucosylceramide when cultured on actual eflluent from a pickle manufacturer.

Simultaneous Production of Sphingolipids and Ethanol by Kluyveromyces thermotolerans OAK

Kluyveromyces thermotolerans strain NBRC 1674 was selected for the simultaneous production of sphingolipids and ethanol from beet molasses. The strain gradually synthesized ethanol with fermentation periods and attained a level slightly higher than that of the strain of Saccharomyces cerevisiae usually used for ethanol production. The sphingolipids accumulated in the cells were composed of almost equal amounts of free ceramides and glucosylceramides. The sphingoid bases and fatty acids of the two sphingolipids differed from each other and changed under aerobic and anaerobic growth conditions. Oxygen limitation may cause accumulation of sphinganine by inhibiting sphingolipid desaturases and enhance its proportion in both the sphingolipids.
